Echinacea: commonly used to elevate cold symptoms but should be avoided in those that are allergic to daisy’s or have a severe illness such as HIV or cancer.

Feverfew: used to treat migraine headaches but should be avoided in people with allergies to ragweed.

Ginseng: used as a sleep aid, to improve concentration and as an antidepressant but should not be taken if you also have diabetes or hypertension.

St. John’s Wart: widely used as an antidepressant but should not be taken with alcohol or cold and flu remedies.
